লেখক Muhammad ibn Yazid Ibn Majah
Muhammad ibn Yazid Ibn Majah (d. 887 CE / 273 AH) compiled Sunan Ibn Majah, containing over 4,000 hadith. It was the last to be included in the Kutub al-Sittah, added by Ibn al-Qaisarani in the 11th century. While valuable, it contains more weak narrations compared to the other five collections. Despite this, it covers topics not extensively addressed elsewhere, making it a useful supplement. Ibn Majah’s work includes hadith on creed, worship, ethics, and social conduct. Scholars sometimes debated whether Muwatta of Imam Malik should be considered instead of Ibn Majah’s collection, but over time, Sunan Ibn Majah gained acceptance. Commentaries like Sharh al-Sindi provide explanations. Its inclusion completes the six canonical books, ensuring a comprehensive coverage of hadith literature
an awesome book ever I read.
